Catoosa VINELink Release Coverage
Georgia VINELink provides custody-status searches and notifications based on participating jail, prison, and court feeds. It is useful for a known Catoosa County person whose status may change. It does not publish a complete list of everyone released from Catoosa County Jail, and it does not control the Sheriff's booking record or the Clerk's disposition record.
Coverage should be matched to custody type. A county-jail record may flow from the local agency. A state-prison record belongs to GDC. Federal prison and immigration detention use BOP and ICE channels rather than VINELink as their primary locators. When VINELink shows no result, the absence may reflect feed scope, spelling, identity details, or record availability. It is not proof that the person was never held.
| Custody type | Primary record source | VINELink role |
|---|---|---|
| Catoosa County Jail | Sheriff portal and Records Division | Status check or alert if fed |
| Georgia state prison | GDC and Parole Board | Supplemental notification |
| Federal prison | BOP Inmate Locator | Not the main locator |
| Immigration detention | ICE ODLS | Not the main locator |
Search Catoosa VINELink Records
VINELink works best when the search starts with strong identity details. Use the full legal name and an identification number if known. Open the matching record only after comparing the facility, age, or other shown details. Common names can return more than one person, and a partial name can miss a record if the reporting agency uses another spelling.
- Open the Georgia state page and choose the offender or person search.
- Enter the person's name or identification number available in the interface.
- Review matches and compare identity and facility details.
- Open the correct record and read custody status, location, and recent change.
- Use the reporting agency's record channel when formal release proof is required.
A result may show in custody, released, transferred, or another status supplied by the participant. Interface labels can change. Read the record as a snapshot from the source feed, not as a court-certified statement. For the full county sequence after a VINELink result, use the Catoosa released inmate records path.
Catoosa VINELink Result Fields
The exact fields depend on the agency feed and current interface. The useful identifiers are the person's displayed name or ID, custody status, reporting facility, and status-change information. A release notice can show that a reporting facility no longer holds the person. It may not disclose the legal reason, transfer destination, bond details, or final case disposition.
- Custody status
- The current state reported by the participating feed.
- Facility
- The jail or prison tied to the record.
- Offender identity
- Name, number, or other details used to select the right person.
- Status change
- A release, transfer, or other event when supplied.
- Notification option
- The control for registering an available alert.
If VINELink says released, ask what was released. A person can be released from one facility to another custodian. Check the Catoosa booking or transfer record when the event began at the county jail. For state custody, compare GDC and parole information. For an ICE or federal transfer, use the federal system.
Note: A released status from one reporting facility does not by itself establish release to the community.
Register Catoosa Release Alerts
The Georgia VINE information page describes a free, secure, and confidential service for custody status and notifications. Registration begins from the matching person record. Delivery choices may include phone, email, text, in-app message, or TTY when the current Georgia interface offers them.
- Choose Get Notified or the equivalent option on the matching record.
- Select an available delivery method and language.
- Enter the phone number, email address, or in-app destination.
- Create or confirm any PIN required for phone notification.
- Save the alert and keep the registration information secure.
A phone PIN lets the recipient confirm that an automated call was received and can stop repeat attempts. Follow the current on-screen prompts because names and available delivery methods may change. Registration is tied to the selected record. It does not subscribe the user to every Catoosa release.
Verify Catoosa VINELink Releases
After an alert, verify the event with the custodian. For Catoosa County Jail, search the Zuercher portal for a release date and request a booking sheet or release information through GovQA. The Records Division can clarify prior incarceration and transfer data. The Catoosa court docket can explain bond, dismissal, probation, sentence, or revocation.
For a state inmate, use GDC Find an Offender and the Parole Board systems. GDC can show charges, facility, and release-date information, but it instructs users to verify through written correspondence with Inmate Records and Information. A tentative parole month is not an actual release date. For a parolee, use the state parolee search and DCS supervision channel.
| VINELink event | Verification path |
|---|---|
| Catoosa jail release | Zuercher plus Sheriff's Records |
| Court-related release | Catoosa Clerk docket or certified order |
| State-prison release | GDC written verification |
| Parole release | Parole Board and DCS |
| Federal or ICE movement | BOP, ICE, USMS, or federal court |
Catoosa VINELink Search Limits
Participating-agency feeds can lag. A recent jail event may not appear at the same moment that staff complete out-processing. Transfers can also produce a status change before the receiving system becomes easy to search. Do not promise a fixed update time because the research found no official Catoosa cadence for the local portal or VINE feed.
A failed name search also has several explanations. The record may use a different spelling, middle name, suffix, or identification number. The person may be in a facility that does not feed the searched channel. The event may be too new, too old, restricted, or outside Georgia VINE scope. Move to the agency-specific source instead of treating no result as a final answer.
VINELink is designed for a specific-person check and alert. It should not be used as Catoosa's nonexistent public 24-hour or 72-hour released-person list. The local Zuercher release-date field and Sheriff's records request remain the county release paths.
VINELink Georgia System Contact
VINELink is an online notification system rather than a walk-in Catoosa office. Questions about a Catoosa booking sheet belong with the Sheriff's Records Division. Questions about a court disposition belong with the Clerk. Questions about state custody belong with GDC or the Parole Board. This routing keeps a notification issue separate from a records request.

Custody information comes from participating agency feeds
The official Georgia VINE information page is the source shown in this state-specific capture.

The source confirms the notification role, while the originating jail, prison, or court remains the record authority.
Catoosa Registry Status Difference
An offender registry is separate from VINELink custody status. A person released after a registrable offense may appear in the Georgia sex-offender registry because of registration requirements. That does not mean the person remains in jail. Likewise, a registry entry is not a substitute for the release date or disposition record.
Use the registry only for its defined public-registration function. Use VINELink for participating custody alerts, the Sheriff's Office for county jail records, and the court for legal outcome. Keeping these systems distinct prevents a status from being assigned to the wrong record.
VINELink Catoosa Jail Origin
A Catoosa VINELink alert may originate with the county jail that opened in September 2002. The sheriff describes that facility as 54,000 square feet with capacity for 248 men and women in both pretrial and convicted status. This mixed population helps explain why an alert can represent bond, sentence completion, or transfer rather than one standard release event.
VINELink receives status data; it does not operate the jail. After an alert from the Catoosa facility, use the Sheriff's record to verify the release date and destination. The jail's official history grounds the source, while the participating feed controls what VINELink can display.
VINELink Catoosa ICE Alerts
Catoosa's 2026 second-quarter Criminal Alien Track report recorded 40 DHS detainers among 913 bookings and 70 LESC inquiries. A VINELink release or transfer alert from the county feed may therefore occur while immigration custody continues. The alert describes a change from the reporting facility, not necessarily an end to all detention.
When ICE, DHS, or an immigration hold appears in the local record, request the Catoosa transfer information and search ICE ODLS. VINELink remains the notification layer, and ICE remains the immigration locator.
