Search Georgia Parole Records

The State Board of Pardons and Paroles systems cover parole review and post-release parole status for Georgia state prisoners connected to Catoosa County. They do not publish a Catoosa County Jail release roster. To find someone released through parole, use the parolee search for a person already under supervision, the TPM lookup for a person still in state custody, and DCS for local community supervision. Each public tool answers a different question about state-prison release.

Georgia Parole Catoosa Records

The Board decides whether an eligible Georgia state inmate will be released on parole. GDC holds the state-prison record. DCS supervises parolees after release. A Catoosa County court and jail may show the conviction and local transfer, but neither decides the later state parole result.

This division matters when a local record says “released.” If the person left Catoosa County Jail for GDC, use the state-prison record first. When a TPM appears, use the Board lookup. After actual parole release, use the Parolee Search and the LaFayette DCS office serving Catoosa County.

Confirm Catoosa Parole Release

Match the search to the person's stage. A TPM search is for someone still moving through parole consideration. A parolee search is for someone already released to parole. Neither is a replacement for a county booking sheet.

  1. Identify whether the person is in Catoosa jail, GDC custody, or already in the community.
  2. For a state inmate, search GDC and note the GDC ID, sentence, location, MRD, and any TPM.
  3. Open the Inmate TPM Lookup for the tentative Board month.
  4. Use the Parolee Search for someone believed to be on parole.
  5. Verify local supervision through DCS LaFayette when Catoosa County is the service area.

The Catoosa released-inmate records path remains the right starting point for a local bond release, county sentence, or transfer record. Parole tools apply only when a state sentence or existing parole status supports them.

Catoosa TPM Is Tentative

The Board defines Tentative Parole Month as the month when final review is planned and a release date may be set if appropriate. It is not a final grant. Conduct, completion of programs, new information, sentence rules, or Board review can change the result.

Georgia regulations separately define Maximum Release Date as the GDC endpoint if the whole sentence is served without parole. A TPM may occur before MRD, but that does not convert it into an actual release date. Keep the date labels intact when explaining the record.

TPM
A tentative month for final parole review.
MRD
The state custody endpoint if the full sentence is served without parole.
Parole date
A release date set after the required Board action.
Parolee
A person released from state prison under conditional supervision.

Georgia Parole Review Process

The Board's parole process describes investigation, hearing-examiner review, parole-decision guidelines, individual Board member review, and majority action for non-life cases. This is mainly a file-review process. Ordinary Catoosa cases do not appear on a county courtroom-style parole calendar.

The Board publishes agendas and press releases for meetings and special matters. Those calendars should not be presented as a person-by-person parole hearing list. The public result tools are the TPM lookup for an inmate and the Parolee Search after release.

The official parole process shown below comes from the State Board of Pardons and Paroles.

Catoosa Parole Search Fields

The public Parolee Search supports first name, last name, race, and offense. It returns records containing partial search terms, which can help with spelling but can also produce several possible matches. Compare all available identity and offense details before concluding that a record belongs to the person sought.

FieldSearch use
First nameNarrows the person match
Last namePrimary name route, including partial terms
RaceHelps distinguish similar names
OffenseChecks consistency with the known case

For TPM, use the inmate number, GDC ID, or personal data accepted by the live lookup. GDC identification is usually more precise than a common name. If the person cannot be found, check the custody type before inferring that parole ended.

Catoosa Parole Eligibility Limits

Eligibility depends on the sentence and offense. O.C.G.A. § 17-10-6.1 addresses serious violent felonies and mandatory-minimum consequences. GDC's PIC program also excludes non-parole-eligible and minimum-mandatory cases from normal credit treatment. A blanket percentage cannot replace the judgment and applicable statute.

The Board can establish a TPM, deny parole, reconsider later, set a release date after final review, or withhold release when conditions or new facts change the decision. A public TPM should be described as tentative until the final status supports stronger language.

A Catoosa conviction does not guarantee parole eligibility. Verify the actual offense, sentence, and Board record instead of estimating from sentence length.

Catoosa Parole Revocation Records

After release, an alleged violation can lead to preliminary or revocation proceedings under Georgia's parole rules. The Catoosa jail portal may show a parole-related hold, but a hold is not the final revocation outcome. Board, DCS, and custody records must be read together.

Research did not confirm a county absconder list. An absconder is someone alleged to have left supervision or stopped reporting without authorization. For a specific person, use the Parolee Search, DCS office route, and any relevant Board or court record. VINELink can report custody changes but does not decide the violation.

Georgia Parole Board Contact

TPM and parole questions belong with the Board, not the GDC Ombudsman. The Board lists a primary number of (404) 656-4661 and public information at (404) 657-9450. Its Atlanta office is at 2 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SE, Suite 430, Balcony Level, West Tower, Atlanta, GA 30334.

For day-to-day Catoosa-area supervision, contact DCS LaFayette instead. For prison custody, location, or release-date verification, use GDC. The Board office is a decision and records system, not a detention facility.

Catoosa Jail to Parole

Catoosa County's current jail opened in September 2002. The sheriff identifies a 54,000-square-foot county detention facility with capacity for 248 inmates. It houses male and female pretrial and convicted people charged with offenses in Catoosa County, including Fort Oglethorpe and Ringgold. None of those facts describes a Parole Board facility.

A person does not move from a local booking straight into parole merely by leaving the jail. A state-prison sentence and Board decision must support that path. The Catoosa jail records the local release or transfer, GDC records state custody, and the Board records parole review and release. That chain keeps the county jail's physical history distinct from the state decision system.

Catoosa Detainers and Parole

Catoosa's 2026 second-quarter Criminal Alien Track report lists 913 bookings, 70 LESC inquiries, 63 responses indicating an inmate was an illegal alien, and 40 DHS detainers. Those figures show that a county jail release can lead to ICE custody. An immigration transfer is not a parole grant and does not belong in the Parolee Search unless a separate state parole record exists.

Check ICE ODLS and the county transfer record when DHS is named. If GDC and parole are also involved, confirm how the detainer affects the planned release with the responsible agencies. A TPM can remain tentative, and another custodian may receive the person even after the Board sets a parole-related date.

About Georgia Parole Systems

This map entry brings together the Board's TPM explanation, inmate lookup, parolee search, process information, and public meeting notices. It has no cells and no Catoosa release feed. Its scope starts with a Georgia state-prison sentence and continues through parole consideration and parole status.

County property and booking issues stay with the Catoosa sheriff. Court probation stays with the sentencing court and, for adult felony supervision, DCS. Federal and immigration release require BOP, ICE, or federal court paths.

Note: A Board meeting agenda is not proof that a named Catoosa County inmate will be reviewed or released on that meeting date.

Catoosa Parole Record Conflicts

A GDC status, TPM result, parolee record, and DCS response may reflect different stages. Compare the update date and exact label. GDC owns prison custody. The Board owns the parole decision. DCS owns field supervision.

If a result is unclear, contact the responsible office with the GDC ID and case details. Do not ask the sheriff to interpret a TPM or DCS to certify the original prison sentence. The sentencing court can supply the judgment linking the Catoosa case to the state record.

Catoosa Parole to DCS

A final parole release shifts day-to-day control from prison custody to DCS. For a Catoosa-area residence, LaFayette serves the county and neighboring jurisdictions. A move can transfer field-office responsibility while the Board's parole status remains in force.

The parolee search and DCS locator should be read together. The first identifies the state parole record. The second identifies the field office. Neither is a county jail release list.
